David is a co-founder and partner of Gulf Search Capital. He has been working with small businesses for 10+ years. After beginning his career as an aeronautical engineer for Lockheed Martin, he made a transition to business by founding an aviation company. Since that time he has worked as a partner or consultant with numerous small businesses throughout the area. Previously he worked as a financial analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Chaffe & Associates, Inc. and with numerous clients through his management consulting firm, Emerge Dynamics.
Today, in addition to working with Gulf Search Capital, David also facilitates the financial modules of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and teaches Economics courses at both Tulane University and Delgado Community College.
David holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University, an M.A. in Economics from University of Texas at Arlington, an M.B.A with finance and international business concentrations from Tulane University, and the Certified Turnaround Analyst (CTA) and Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designations.
He resides in New Orleans with his wife and four children.
