Bio

Jason is a Partner and President of Valuation Support Services Ltd., a boutique professional services firm specializing in providing independent business valuation, litigation support, exit planning advisory, and transaction advisory services.  Jason provides business valuation and litigation support services to law firms, private and public companies as well as non-profit organizations and individuals. Services include rendering of conclusions on the value of businesses, intellectual property and economic damages.

Jason also assists private business owners with exit planning and transaction advisory issues including, but not limited to, comprehensive exit plans, benchmark business valuations, pricing analyses, value enhancement, pre-sale planning and due diligence.

Jason has completed level I & II training with the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation (OCLF) and is a member with the York Collaborative Practice and the Collaborative Practice Durham Region as a financial professional. Jason works collaboratively with separating couples and their family law lawyers where business and stock option valuations and income assessments are required.

Jason has testified before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as an expert witness in business valuation and damages quantification and has participated as an expert in business valuation at mediation and arbitration for shareholder disputes. He has written articles and lectured at various conferences and professional development sessions on topics related to business valuation, litigation support, exit planning and value enhancement. Jason has also assisted various organizations and law firms in mock trial settings as an expert witness, including Lerners LLP, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, The National Institute of Trial Advocacy training session at the University of Toronto and The University of Toronto Trial Advocacy Program (1999 to 2003).
